The second edition of SEISMOGRAPH will be a three-day event organized by Bunkier Sztuki Gallery of Contemporary Art in Krakow, in collaboration with the BWA Tarnów. Selected young artists, who regionally identity themselves with Lesser Poland, as well as curators invited from Poland and abroad will be taking part. The event should be an occasion to encounter new works, viewpoints and practices of artists; to exchange ideas and experiences; and to discuss practical models and strategies with artists who have recently made their debut in the arts scene.

We’ve divided the event into closed-door sessions and open panel discussions, but we’ve also set aside time for people to get to know each other informally. We want to place emphasis on the workshops and consultative sessions between selected artists and participating curators. The artists will have an opportunity to present their own works in different formats and with the help of various media, and to hear comments from professional curators, who focus on research and work with young artists. In addition, we’ll provide a chance for the curators themselves to catch the pulse of the young arts scene in flux. The workshops, consultations, conversations with critics and curators, and presentations by the artists will take place in Bunkier Sztuki Gallery of Contemporary Art, BWA Tarnów, as well as other independent exhibition spaces.
