On 22th October 2019 we are launching Łódź Young Fashion – fashion event co-created by the City of Łódź and the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. 5 days of competitions, workshops and events of international character will open debuting designers the way to fulfil their dreams.
The rich programme of ŁÓDŹ YOUNG FASHION 2019 organised at the Academy of Fine Arts and in many other places in Łódź will present various aspects of fashion and art. The main contest’s name is “Łódź Young Fashion Award” 2019 and it is addressed to young fashion designers (born after 1989) from all over the world – especially students and graduates of artistic and fashion design schools – and all those for whom design is a passion.
Participation in this event is a chance to fulfil design dreams. Presenting a collection to the jury, which includes renowned designers and representatives of the fashion industry, is the first step on the path of business activities aimed at creating one’s own brand. The judges will particularly consider: an original idea and and the avant-garde thinking, the use of new technologies, techniques as well as the use of modern and avant-garde materials. The leitmotif of this year’s edition is METROPOLIS. The winner will receive the MANEQUINE 2019 statuette and a financial prize of 30,000 EURO, funded by the City of Łódź.
