Polish Posters 30 Years Of Freedom

Yesterday, Poland marks 30 years since its first postwar democratic election. The partially free vote on June 4, 1989, handed victory to a government led by the Solidarity trade union and triggered a series of events culminating in the fall of the Berlin Wall that November. (Reuters). On this occasion, we present 16 posters created by some of the finalists of the art competition organised by Gdańsk Foundation. The artists had to interpret the word “Freedom” and reflect on three decades of Poland after the turn. The winner was Eugen Rauldi “Three Decades of Freedom”, the second place took Jagna Wróblewska “XXX”.
